UV lights for your pearly whites

November 16th, 2009

Violight toothbrush sanitizerWe have had the Violight Toothbrush Sanitizer for almost a year now and it has turned out to be a great investment. Think about it – you brush your teeth to get rid of the icky stuff but where does that icky stuff go? Your toothbrush. Yet, like that dingy disgusting kitchen sponge that you have not replaced in two months, you let that icky stuff reside in your toothbrush – right next to the toilet – and keep on using it. Gross. So, if you and your family are going to let your germ-infested toothbrushes drip together in the same toothbrush holder, let it be a Violight which kills 99.9% of the bacteria living on your toothbrush (which means that you are putting a much more sanitary instrument in your mouth two, three, four or five times a day). Simply brush your teeth, place the toothbrush (compatible electric or most standard size toothbrushes) back in the holder and press the Violight button before you leave the bathroom. A light comes on and a few minutes later, when the light goes out, your toothbrush is ready to go.

Violight travel toothbrush sanitizerFor the those who brush their teeth on the go (or those who care about proper hygiene on vaca) – there is a travel toothbrush sanitizer. One thing that gives me the skeevies when traveling (aside from the comforters and pillows) is my toothbrush. A) It has been rolling around in luggage for hours. B) There is never a good place to put it where it will not be laying in a puddle, doesn’t go back in a baggie and is safe from toilet splash. This product is a must have.

Zapi DoodleThis company also makes a great kid-friendly product – the Zapi Doodle. It is impossible to protect kids from all germs (you can expect your child’s toothbrush to fall in the sink or on the floor or be used as a sword) but this toothbrush sanitizer can keep away 99.9% of germs like e. coli and staphylococcus which are found on most toothbrushes.
