Monte Cristo sandwich
Something struck me and I was suddenly craving a Monte Cristo sandwich – I am not even sure if I had ever had one before. So, what do you do when you are interested in something that you don’t know about? You Google of course. While Google-ing “monte cristo sandwich recipe,” I came across this one which is apparently from the Blue Bayou restaurant in Disneyland. I have never been to this restaurant (or heard of it) but I do love Disney and have always had a memorable experience so, I gave it a go and it did not disappoint my taste buds.
* On my sandwiches, I used fresh German brot rye bread, switched the swiss cheese for sharp white cheddar and added a couple slices of bacon.
